Creating a communication log in OBD Fusion® for iOS

Follow these instructions to create and send a communication log in OBD Fusion for iOS. You must follow the instructions exactly as stated for the log to be created correctly.

Creating a communication log for connection problems

  1. In OBD Fusion, open the Settings > Preferences > General page and select “Debugging Enabled”.
  2. Go back to the OBD Fusion main page, then click the Home button to exit.
  3. Close the application by double-clicking the home button, finding the OBD Fusion app using the app switcher, and swiping the picture of the app up.
  4. Restart the app.
  5. Try to connect to the scan tool.
  6. After the connection fails, go to the Logs > Messages page, select the menu button, and select “Send Debug Info”. Please provide a detailed description of the problem in your email.

Creating a communication log for dashboard or PID problems

  1. Open the Settings > Preferences > General page and select “Debugging Enabled”.
  2. Go back to the main page, then click the Home button to exit.
  3. Close the application by double-clicking the home button, finding the OBD Fusion app using the app switcher, and swiping the picture of the app up.
  4. Restart the app.
  5. Connect to the scan tool and open the dashboard page that is causing the problem. If you are having trouble with a particular PID, make sure you have a gauge configured to read that PID and that gauge is on the active dashboard page.
  6. Go to the Logs > Messages page, select the menu button, and select “Send Debug Info”. Please provide a detailed description of the problem in your email.
